HI, I'M LEIDE DIANA
Birth is amazing no matter how it happens
My name is Leide for Portuguese speakers and Diana for English speakers! I graduated in Nursing in Brazil, I am married to my awesome husband, Daniel and we are parents of a cute puppy named Lexie. I am also a Certified Birth Doula (Dona Trained).
I am a passionate Doula and I do this job with so much joy, passion and love. For me, each sleepless night and all the hard work and effort are so worth it. I am thankful to all my dear clients, and the opportunity that each new birth gives me to be able to offer my clients strength, support, love and the reassurance that they can do it.
I am amazed about pregnancy, labour, birth and babies. Having so many friends who are pregnant opened up my eyes to be part of this world. These closely lived experiences aroused my interest of becoming a doula and wanting to participate in this amazing moment with so many families.
Being a part of this experience in your life is truly a joy for me. Every woman has the right to obtain support through this wonderful moment of her life.
Birth is amazing no matter how it happens and I look forward to being there and assisting you and your beautiful growing family!
What Does a Doula Do?
I’m trained to offer you comfort measures to make you feel more relaxed, comfortable and have less pain during labour.
What you think has a huge impact on how you feel. I provide continuous emotional support throughout pregnancy, labour. Fears, excitement, anxiety – it’s all part of Birth!
I provide you with informative options so that you can make the best decisions and/or help you in making your pregnancy or birth plan.
If a Doula were a drug, it would be unethical NOT to use it. - Dr. John H. Kennel, MD
We can have a talk on the phone, via e-mail, or meet up, and speak about your upcoming birth and/or your health history and of course see if we are a good match.
We will discuss about your plans and preferences for your labour and birth. We can also talk about different procedures and practices and learn what feels right to you and your partner.

We will practice some exercises that we will perform during your labour to reduce pain, fear, and tension and also practice some of those exercises.
